With a name like Chanel...

We met with Chanel for lunch at a trendy macrobiotic cafe in Hollywood with a few mutual friends. You could see that this Russian/Mexican beauty is no way older than 19, but her flawless face and perfect warm smile makes you guess that people would probably be racing to get her in their photos. We guessed right. Pun slightly intended cause Chanel shot for GUESS at just 13 years old! Later we finally sat down with the model repped by L.A. Models over a can of coconut water to find out more about her. Target and Nordstroms love Chanel and these department stores can be the bread and butter for many models. But it doesn't end there. One of her favorite trips was shooting an editorial in Buenos Aires for ELLE Argentina. Not to mention her 17 editorials for Glamour Magazine. 17! The latest for this young pro is now starring in a Cover Girl Commercial with Queen Latifah. With a name like Chanel and a face of an angel, there is no surprise she's rocking the Modeling World. Go get 'em, girl!

Wilhelmina to Gossip to Radio

In Los Angeles, we'll see models crossing over into acting and vice versa. Leighton Meester is an extremely successful case. Model. Actress. Pop Star. There is no SECRET as to why Leighton has reached such great heights. The stylish and trend setting television show Gossip Girl combined with the starlet's giant eyes and sultry gaze keeps the designers, stylists, and editors very busy. It comes natural for Meester who's roots began with Wilhemina and shooting with Bruce Weber for a Ralph Lauren campaign. Now with the CW hit and 5 major motion pictures in production, who has time to work on, i dunno, a music career?! Nothing is stopping Leighton!

Trae Pflueger making a killing worldwide...

When I met Trae almost 2 years ago, he was supposed to take off "just for a little bit" and then come back to L.A. I should have known the world didn't want to give him back. He now has booking agents in Milan, London, Germany, Paris, New York and of course Los Angeles with Bleu Models. While away, he racked up a great book including working with Energie Underwear, Polo, and Diesel. Trae has great momentum cause he's got versatility and he's a smart active model always looking to try new looks. Or maybe cause he's hot enough to make females steal my computer and click through his photos smiling like the cheshire cat. (true story)

Luna in LA

Now we begin a new chapter in revealing more Secrets of the Modeling World in beautiful Los Angeles, California! The timing couldn't be better. The Sun is shining and springtime brings a sense of all things new and fresh.

So what better way to start our new blog than with the gorgeous and fresh face of Luna LiVolsi. This Connecticut native met with Natalie at FORD in San Francisco and the agency signed her on the spot. After working in SF and Seoul Korea, Luna made it down to Los Angeles to make sure those motion picture cameras can join the photographers lining up to capture her lovely face.

Luna says using her acting abilities really helps in bringing raw emotion and intensity in her eyes. Question: Is that why our eyes were locked on her? Answer: YES!
